In-Person Experience:
The iconic Stellenbosch provides the perfect setting for in-person delegates of GWO 2023. These delegates can take advantage of the full conference programme, which includes hybrid versions, and participate in all conference events. Moreover, they can engage in networking opportunities with affinity groups and collaborate in events. To attend the conference dinner, which is a separate ticketed event, in-person delegates must make a separate booking and payment. To present a paper in-person, delegates must register for the in-person option of the conference. On the other hand, those who do not wish to present a paper can still register for in-person attendance. To further enhance the in-person experience, the conference mobile app will seamlessly connect you with virtual speakers and attendees.
Virtual Experience:
The GWO2023 conference will be presented in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual attendance options available. While the full conference programme is primarily delivered in-person, the two main conference streams will be available to both virtual and in-person attendees. Additionally, virtual attendees will have access to selected keynote and plenary presentations, collaborative events, and networking opportunities. Our hybrid streaming technology will allow for a fully immersive conference experience accessible from either a desktop or mobile version of the app. For those unable to present their paper in-person, our technical team will support connecting them to the relevant audience via zoom. To present a paper virtually, delegates must register for the virtual option of the conference. Non-presenting delegates can also register for virtual attendance.

Welcome Reception
Join us as we kick off GWO2023 with a Welcome Reception in true South African style. A celebration of local cuisine, the Cape Winelands world-renowned wines and busker style entertainment. All registered delegates have access to the Welcome Reception. Kindly indicate your attendance when you register.
Cultural Dinner
An elegant evening comprising a 3-course dinner in an iconic Cape Winelands setting. Pack your dancing shoes as we celebrate the heartbeat of Africa…a magical evening awaits! The conference dinner is a ticketed event at R600 per person and includes transport, dinner, two drinks (non-alcoholic or alcoholic), and live entertainment. Please book your conference dinner ticket when you register.
