Please note that GWO2023 is held in Stellenbosch, which is approximately 50km from Cape Town City Centre. Please ensure that you secure your accommodation close to Stellenbosch.

STELLENBOSCH UNIVERSITY BUDGET ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is available in university residence, residence rooms are allocated utilising gender in the binary with women and men in separate quarters as there are shared communal bathrooms. We recognise that these arrangements may not suit everyone needs.
Please state your preference when registering or making contact with the organising team on connect@gwo2023.co.za who will endeavour to assist.
Enjoy the privacy of your own room! Each room comes with fresh linen, a single bed, desk with chair, cupboard and one plug-point on each side of the room. There are shared bathroom facilities as well as shared kitchenettes.
Each room is furnished with the beds already dressed with:
- 2 x BEDSHEETS
- 2 x BLANKETS
- 1 x PILLOW
- 1 x PILLOW CASE
Package
A bespoke package has been created for the Gender, Work Organization Conference 2023. The below package is costed at R880 per person per night for a single room.
*Please note that delegates will need to stay a minimum of 2 nights

Important to Note:
Loadshedding: The residences will be part of the national loadshedding from time to time. A schedule will be supplied at check-in please note that this will affect Wi-Fi, lights, and electricity plugs.
Electricity Voltage and Power plugs: In South Africa the power plug sockets are of type D, M and N. The standard voltage is 230 V and the frequency is 50 Hz. Please bring along a power plug adapter should your device chargers not be compatible.
Weather: During June / July it is Stellenbosch’s rainy season, and we advise that delegates bring appropriate gear such as an umbrella/raincoat.
